“It seems they had worked here for two or three days. They have taken the roof and demolished most of the walls with a heavy duty vehicle. This is hard work that cannot be done by anyone in the street. I have never seen such thievery before,” the owner of the farm Hızır Akyıldız told Demirören News Agency on July 17.
The farm, which is located in the Karaman neighborhood of Adapazarı, was bought by Akyıldız.
The farm’s 1,000-square-meter roof worth around 200,000 Turkish Liras and weighed 10 tons, the report said.
Akyıldız, who has recently put the farm on sale, learned about the theft when his friend, who had considered buying the farm, called him.
“He told me the roof was gone and the chicken farm had almost been completely demolished,” he added.
“Now, the police are reviewing security camera footage in the neighborhood to identify the thieves. They have made me suffer. I just hope they will not do it someone else too,” said the farmer.
