Özpetek’s movie hits Italian screen

Turkish director Ferzan Özpetek’s new movie, “Magnifica Presenza” (Magnificent Guest), will appear in Italian cinemas in March.

Speaking to Anatolia news agency Feb. 18, Özpetek said the gala night for his ninth movie, “Magnifica Presenza,” would be held in Rome on March 15 and added that the film would hit Italian cinemas the day after and Turkish cinemas on March 30.

Özpetek, who has been living in Italy for a long time, said the new movie would be different from his previous ones, noting that he added some “horror” to this film. Born in Istanbul in 1959, Özpetek has been living in Italy since 1976. “Facing Windows,” “Hamam,” “The Ignorant Fairies” and “Harem Suare” are some of his best-known movies.
