A record-breaking 3.5 million French people tuned in to France 2 channel recently to watch a documentary about the Ottoman ruler Süleyman the Magnificent, Anatolia news agency reported.
 
The documentary, entitled “Secrets of History,” featured footage from the hit TV show "Muhteşem Yüzyıl" (The Magnificent Century) as well.
 
The show scored a record-breaking 18 percent in the country’s ratings.
 
A TV official thanked Turkish officials for their help in making the documentary a popular success, even hinting at a possible rerun.
