One soldier was killed today in a mine blast in Tunceli province of southeast Turkey, Doğan news agency reported.
Security forces have increased measures in the area to find the suspected Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) members responsible for burning vehicles the previous day.
The blast occurred while forces were conducting operations and was caused by a remotely detonated mine.
One soldier was killed in the blast, and another was wounded.
New units were transferred to the area immediately.
