October talks last chance for solution: North Cyprus

NICOSIA - Anadolu Agency
The peace talks with Greek Cyprus that are likely to start in October will be the last chance for a solution, Turkish Cypriot President Derviş Eroğlu said July 16.

“Open-ended negotiations can’t continue forever. The peace talks that are likely to start in October will be the last chance for a solution,” the president said, adding that there was nothing else to be discussed on the issue.

“If we reach an outcome in the October talks, the Cyprus issue will be solved. But if we don’t, the facts that exist today will continue.”

Eroğlu also voiced his expectations from Greek Cypriot leader Nicos Anastasiades. “If they [Greek Cyprus] have the will to solve it, it will be solved,” he said, adding that the Turkish Cypriots had run out of patience, referring to peace talks.
