Greek arms dealer, Vlasis Kamburoğlu, known for sponsoring the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Öcalan's transfer from Russia to Athens, was found dead in a hotel room last night in Jakarta, daily Hurriyet reported.

Kamburoğlu was also involved in a bribe scandal between Russian and Greece and is the third person to be found dead among the list of people involved with the transaction.

The exact cause of death remains unknown, but heart failure is listed as a possible cause.

Haha, I like how the paper uses the "Turkish" version of his (last) name ...! Or at least the last part Oglu, means "Son of", many Greeks still have this last name since many Greeks adopted it under Ottoman rule, usually written as oglou I believe. But the editor wrote it how it would be written in Turkish haha ...
