Nicosia Municipality presents theater fest

The leading theater event in Northern Cyprus, the 10th Cyprus Theater Festival begins today with the tagline “Resisting being human.” The festival, organized by the Nicosia Municipality, will continue until Sept. 30.The theater festival will feature nine performances by the Adana and Ankara state theaters, Dostlar Theater, Ankara Sanat Theater, and Istanbul Theater Pera. All plays will be staged at the Near Eastern University Atatürk Culture and Congress Center at 9 p.m.
Single tickets for the festival are sold for 15 Turkish Liras, while combined ticket price is 120 liras. They can be purchased from the Nicosia Municipal Theater. Ahead of every play, the Nicosia Municipal Orchestra Stringed and Wind Instruments Trio will perform on the stage between 8:30 and 9 p.m.
