When art gets beyond the walls of exhibition
|
The Turkish location of the Italian restaurant chain Piola is hosting artwork just like its counterparts around the world. It is now a tradition for the restaurant to give space to art. The first exhibition is by young artist Müjde Kotil and is named “L’aurora.” Kotil’s works display the energy of human faces and bodies.
Piola, located at Point Hotel Barbaros, will host Kotil’s works through April 7. The restaurant will also host film galas, book promotions and social activities besides exhibitions in the future. Enjoying a nice meal at a restaurant is more pleasant when one is surrounded by art.
The artist, who is 27 years old, started her career with watercolors, just like most primary school kids. She did not quit and continued studying abroad. Painting is the reason she lives, she says, and this will be her 11th exhibition.
Address: Point Hotel Barbaros, Yıldız Posta Cad. No:29 Esentepe
