Turkey's prime minister was presented with the "King Faisal International Prize for Service to Islam" at a ceremony held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Turkey exerted sincere efforts to establish peace, stability and security in the region and the world.

"The Middle East being named as a region of blood and tears makes our hearts ache," Erdoğan said. His desire was for the region to be remembered with its atmosphere of science, arts, literature, peace and solidarity.

"Our calls for peace, compromise, dialogue and justice, have broad repercussions," Erdoğan said, and described the "King Faisal International Prize" as a remarkable contribution supporting and encouraging Turkey's efforts.

"As long as I breathe, I will proudly carry this great title," the Turkish prime minister said.

The "King Faisal International Prize," which is awarded every year by Saudi Arabia's "King Faisal Foundation," is presented to scientists and people who create positive differences in the world and make contributions to Islam.

This year, eight people from seven countries were announced winners of the prize in different categories such as Service to Islam, Medicine, Arabic Language and Literature, Islamic Studies and Science.

Who says Turkish people didn't get any thing from the Saudi king watch the next Turkish elections Ak party will be giving free gas to every one who will vote for them thanks to Saudi king . How about Muslim families in Turkiye no jobs , no food, no school , let's help our people first than all we can help the other Muslim brothers and sisters around the world however I am always taken by rich oil Muslim countries how lavish life styles and the areas money they spend it out rages me I call them fake Muslims they don't have a clue what a good Muslim is they are so money hungry and greedy selfish individuals they are using the religion to get what they want.Look at all the middle east past four decades fight and fight and look at the all the west and east Asia countries going forward every level of industries it is a shame real shame we tell every body we are piece full people but just look at the past decades.

I love to read how behind everything the so called "secularists" of Türkiye imagine a plot or some sort of game or whatever. Instead of always being against things why dont you just give your best in what you are doing and respect your own culture and country, then whatever is plotted wont work, no game can be imposed and nobody can divide or disturb us. So in actual fact, we ARE the ironic game, as "asker" calls it, inviting others to play with us.....

Then we wonder why other countries are getting very warry regarding Turkey. Turkey cannot sit on the fence regarding foreign policy, one minute it is all buddy buddy with the US then the next minute our leader is receiving an Islamic prize! Politics and religion cannot and do not work together, and if this government seems to think it will, then the future foreign policy of Turkey is doomed. What will happen is neither the west or our neighbours will want anything to do with Turkey. As much as people think that Turkey is all powerful and does not need anyone, Think again the geopolıtics of the world are changing very quickly.

The KING knows he was wrong stabbing us, he is trying to bribe the president with gifts, he is using an old tactic. He probably wants something from Turkey, this is a good opportunity for the Arabs. Because they could help us to decline the "Armenian Genocide". And don't forget Islamic state will be created or a Turkic State would even be better..

Is it appropriate that a Prime Minister of a secular republic should get an award for services to a religion? Is he a religious leader or a politician? It just does not seem right.

@all: just think who founded saud's arabia? Who are the Saud Clan? Go and study! There is much behind and has nothing to do with any Islam. It is the beginning of something big...they will shape a new middle east with the help of the USA. That's all reason for Erdogan's politics! A big thing is behind all! I don't wonder the "ergenekon" cases and the crak down of the TSK...this regime is not necessary anymore..something new big is comming....it is all a ironic game, a bluff and we are the sheeps!
