Children whom come 180 times for prayer will be given a free tablet PC, according to the imam of a mosque in the Central Anatolian province of Yozgat.

"We wanted to attract the attention of youngsters and encourage them to pray by capitalizing on their enthusiasm for technology and the Internet,” said Cebrail Öztürk, the imam of the Dayılı Mosque in Yozgat’s Akdağmadeni district.
The mosque plans to give a tablet PC to the children who come to the mosque 180 times within two months.

"Children can collect the coupons that we distribute after each prayer," the imam said.

The campaign will be financed by contributions from villagers and Turks living in Europe, he said.

Sparks - sorry you may be wrong- they will be a controlled and censored version with only pages of the Quran and maybe how to read -Arabic courses. The PM also did the bribe to get in power last time. Funny tho' I never heard of a kid who ever got one.. And funnier is most families dont have the resources to have WiFIi to support such toys. Oh but guess what - the local mosques do!.....good plot

I'm off to my local mosque forthwith! ...and if the Christians have a better deal, then I'll change to the church!

Who is financing this bribe then? The tax payer of course. These imams are on a state payroll, no other secular country have such bizarre arrangement. If they can hand out techno gadgets they must have been funded by AKP. How are they allowed to waste taxpayers’ money like this?

That's three times a day they have to attend. I wonder if most parents go that often when attempting to also do a day's work?

Well, why not? They get their tablet, go on internet and will learn things about religion, Darwinism and other things that nobody told them before. Maybe they change their minds and become clever citizens. But this is bribery of the first level of course!

Bribing kids to become a pious Muslim? Incentives for the religious only? I guess all the other kids aren't worth it.....that's religion for you!

If you have to bribe them, then your faith isn't working.
