Morrissey tickets in Istanbul on sale

British legend Morrissey, the former lead vocalist of The Smiths, will perform in Istanbul on Dec. 7 at the Volkswagen Arena. Morrissey, who is known for his songs narrating stories and manifestoes on love and social phenomenon, will share songs from his latest album “World Peace Is None of Your Business,” along with classics from his work with the Smiths and previous albums.
The concert is expected to include a performance of the second single from his latest album, “Istanbul,” which alluringly presents the chaotic and complex emotions of the city by using cigar-box guitar riffs and recordings made right in the streets of the city.
The singer, famous for provoking controversy in 1980s England with songs such as “Meat Is Murder,” “The Queen Is Dead,” and more recently “Irish Blood, English Heart,” previously took the stage in Istanbul in 2012.
