Missing boy’s body found in relative’s garden in eastern TurkeyThe body of a six-year-old boy, who had been missing since June 29, has been found in the garden of his relative’s house by homicide detectives with the help of trained detection dogs.

Enes Tosun went missing when he was playing in front of his house in the Güllüce village of the eastern province of Iğdır on June 29. After a search across the city failed to find the boy, homicide detectives brought in trained detection dogs and started to search all the houses and gardens in the neighborhood. The dogs found the boy’s body buried in the garden of a relative’s house near the victim’s house. As the search was ongoing, G.T., the female relative of the victim, fled from the scene and attempted to leave the village on foot before being captured by police. G.T. reportedly aided the search for Tosun and even comforted his family.

Village headman Tuncer Yaman said they had never suspected the woman, defining her as a smart woman who was the mother of three children.
