Media bosses meet

Deputy Prime Minister Bülent Arınç met yesterday with the owners of Turkey’s major media outlets in Istanbul.
The meeting at the Istanbul Hilton Hotel was hosted by Aydın Doğan, honorary chairman of Doğan Holding.
The participants of the meeting, including Ferit Şahenk, Mehmet Emin Karamehmet, Erdoğan Demirören and Mehmet Nazif Günal, discussed the media’s sensitivity in terror cases and the way the media handles terror-related stories.
