Making City Istanbul is a joint effort by the Istanbul Design Biennial and IABR.

Making City Istanbul, co-curated by George Brugmans and Joachim Declerck, with visuals by the Dutch graphic design office LUST, is on view until 13 December 2012 and is part of NLTR400, a group of activities and events celebrating 400 years of relations between the Netherlands and Turkey.

It is a collective initiative by Istanbul Design Biennial and International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam (IABR).

The exhibition is part of Musibet, the main exhibition of the first Istanbul Design Biennial that opened on 10 October at Istanbul Modern Museum.

Turkish architect Emre Arolat, the curator of Musibet, invited the IABR to present its working method and three key projects – the Test Sites in Rotterdam, Sao Paulo and Istanbul – in the form of a new, small exhibition: a ‘manual’ for the future of Istanbul.
