Lake Van Film Festival to start

ISTANBUL
The third International Film Festival of Lake Van will be held between Sept. 23 and 29 in the eastern province of Van.

The festival’s theme is “Migration and Border: Refugee Lives” this year. Organized by the Bajar Culture and Arts Consultancy, the festival will create an opportunity for local people to come together with renowned figures of Turkish cinema. It also contributes to the promotion of Lake Van, the largest lake in Turkey.

The jury of the festival’s Cinema Films category will be headed by Tevfik Başer, according to a written statement made by the festival committee. The jury members will include Zeynep Dağı, Raffi Hermon Araks and Mustafa Ziya Ülkenciler.

In the documentary category, Korkut Akın will head the jury members, including Caner Canerik and Hatice Yakar.
