James Walsh to serenade Babylon

James Walsh to serenade Babylon The vocalist from the globally acclaimed British rock band Starsailor, James Walsh, will perform solo at Babylon Jan. 17 with contributions from Radio Eksen. After starting piano at age 12, Walsh composed his first songs when he was 14. Inspired by legends such as Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Nick Drake, the Beatles and Tim Buckley, Walsh took his band’s name, “Starsailor,” from one of his same heroes, Buckley. After singing vocals for Starsailor for almost 10 years, the British artist decided to continue his solo career. After his first solo album, “Live at the Top of the World” (in cooperation with Suzanne Vega), was released in 2010, he toured with Simple Minds in 2011. He has received good reviews for his September release, “Lullaby.”
