James Lidell on stage at Salon İKSV

English musician and soul singer James Lidell will play this weekend at Salon. Lidell has released four albums including “Jim,” which was named best pop/rock album at the Independent Music Awards, while also garnering praise from the likes of the New York Times. In addition to his solo albums, Lidell has released music with producer Cristian Vogel under the name Super Collider. He has also collaborated with artists including Feist, Simian Mobile Disco, Beck, Matthew Herbert, Chris Taylor, James Gadson and Gonzalez. Merging electronic beats and sounds with those of classic soul, Lidell has created a new future-retro R&B that simultaneously evokes and revitalizes the sound of a bygone era. Tickets cost 40 Turkish Liras for standing, while the student price is 20 liras.
