According to a written statement from the university, the “IÜ University Projects,” one of the significant projects of the university rector Professor Yunus Söylet, has been successfully progressing for four years. Now the project presents two new museums to Turkey’s culture and art life.

Another new museum of the university is the Istanbul University Archaeology and Culture History Museum. The museum displays the collections of the IU Faculty of Literary Prehistoric Department members, which were examined by the Istanbul Archaeology Museums Directorate experts. The museum will open to the public in the lower floor of the Faculty of Literature after the necessary rearrangements.

Söylet said that the university had unique museums, collections art galleries, and that the opening of museums at universities was showing the improvement of educational institutions.
