An Islamic State Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) suspect detained in the Central Anatolian province of Konya raised eyebrows with his interesting question to reporters en route to police headquarters on Dec. 16, asking: “Am I handsome?”

Counterterrorism police in Konya had raided 43 different addresses and detained 33 suspects over alleged links to ISIL, Doğan News Agency has reported.

One of the suspects drew attention while addressing journalists as he was being taking to the police headquarters after his medical examination at the Konya Training and Research Hospital.

“Shoot me. Shoot me. Am I handsome? Thank God. Shoot me. God will shoot you,” the suspect said to reporters.

Scores of documents were seized by police in raids, with police alleging that they were conducting illegal activities via “charities” founded under various different names.
