Iraq warned Turkey against violating Iraqi airspace and territory and said its radars had repeatedly detected Turkish warplanes in its airspace.

"The Iraqi government condemns these violations to Iraq's airspace and sovereignty warns Turkey against any violations of Iraq's airspace and territory," government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh said in statement after a cabinet meeting.

If Iraq or any one else for that matters harbours PKK terrorists, surely Turkey must have rights to cross the border and give it a chase either on foot or air. Some of the comment (Greek) writers are insinuating that Turkey has no rights to cross the Turkish Iraqi borders. Yeah in spite being EU members Greece and Greeks Cyprus has been training the PKK terrorists to kill Turkish troops, civilians and destroy properties.

Turkish leaders will never learn. They are leading Turkey to a war they have nothing to win from. If Iraq had shot down these planes we would have another glorious funeral but the truth is that they don't care about casualties. As far as the PKK issue... as in Syria and Israel, some call them terrorists and others liberal army...

Maybe if the Iraqi government secured their own borders so Terrorists wouldn't use Northern Iraq to kill people then the Turkish government wouldn't have to resort to this type of strategy.

Oh be quiet Iraq and secure your border. Stop letting terrorists into Turkey and I'm sure there will no reason to "violate" your airspace.

Turkish 'planes enter Iraq in order to attack the PKK that the Iraqis provide sanctuary and refuge for. If the Turks receive any AA fire they should reply without any thought for casualties military or otherwise.

Since when Iraq had territorial sovereignty? It has been under occupation for the last 9 years. Besides, if Iraq was in charge of its borders it would not allow the PKK to operate from its soil.

It would be comical if it were not for the hordes of terrorists streaming into Turkey every day from Iraq to kill and destroy.
