Intelligence agency launches web page for children

ISTANBUL- Hürriyet Daily News
Intelligence agency launches web page for children Turkey's National Intelligence Organization (MİT) has added a "children's page" feature to its website to teach kids the importance of intelligence gathering.

The page includes a welcome interface and sections that explain the concepts of the state and intelligence.

Each section includes a written explanation and shows a video recording of a female hostess reading the passages to visitors. The hostess, Filiz Çolakoğlu, is an Ankara-based actress and dubbing artist who said she was approached for the project a year ago. She works on children's programs for the state broadcaster TRT.

The site explains the state, intelligence and how MİT works; it also includes two games, one of them is based on intelligence gathering in the form of finding five differences between two pictures. The other is reminiscent of field operations which puts you in a scenario where you help a young boy named Ahmet get off an island he has become stranded on.

The page can be accessed at http://mit.gov.tr/cocuk.html
