The record-breaking classical crossover quartet, comprised of Swiss tenor Urs Buhler, baritone Carlos Marin from Spain, French pop artist Sebastien Izambard and American tenor David Miller, first came together in 2003 thanks to an exhaustive search by music producer Simon Cowell. Cowell had hoped to find four singers each with distinctive individual gifts who could, as a group, create musical magic. The quartet first announced themselves to the world with their self-titled, multiplatinum debut album in 2004. Further chart-topping albums followed, including “Ancora,” “Siempre” and “The Promise.” At every stage of their career, Il Divo has remained true to their artistic mission, sharing their passion for music with the world as well as their passionate belief in music as a unifying force.
