Günay in Bulgaria for artifacts

ISTANBUL - Hürriyet Daily News
Bulgarian Culture Minister Vezhdi Rashidov is set to return 19 stolen artifacts to his Turkish counterpart, Ertuğrul Günay, who went with his team to Bulgaria yesterday.

Turkey has been working hard in recent years to get its stolen artifacts back. Between 1998 and 2000, a total of 365 artifacts were returned to Turkey from the United States, Germany, Britain and Denmark.

Increased communication regarding the issue has resulted in a rise in returned artifacts, with 464 items returned to Turkey this year alone.
