Greek Cyprus police fire at Turkish Cypriots
Men who claimed to be Greek Cyprus police opened fire on two Turkish Cypriots in the town of Pile last night, Anatolia news agency reported.
Turkish Cypriots Süleyman and Şahin Koçero were driving around Pile when a separate vehicle approached them. The brothers were told by the approaching men to stop their vehicle, but ignored the warning.
Unidentified men inside the approaching vehicle opened fire on Süleyman and Şahin. The brothers were not injured, but their car was heavily damaged.
Turkish police forces and United Nations officers have launched an investigation into the matter.
