Galatasaray was held to a 1-1 draw against Eskişehirspor on Oct. 6, as the Spor Toto Super League leader failed to stop its poor run despite a Herculean effort by goalkeeper Fernando Muslera.

The Lions took the lead late in the game, when Turkish international forward Burak Yılmaz found the net in the 79th minute. However, the defending champion displayed comical defending in the last minute, allowing Erkan Zengin to score on the fourth shot in rapid succession against Muslera.

Galatasaray lost 2-0 to Orduspor last week to suffer its first defeat of the season before being beaten 2-0 by Braga in the Champions League on Oct. 2.

Galatasaray still leads the league with 14 points, one point more than Orduspor, which also drew 1-1 against Karabükspor a day earlier.

Four teams with 12 points follow the top two: Gençlerbirliği is third, while Kasımpaşa, Trabzonspor and Antalyaspor trail on goal differential.

Trabzonspor beat Kasımpaşa 1-0 on Oct. 5, while Antalyaspor won 1-0 at Gaziantepspor.

Gençlerbirliği won 2-0 at Istanbul BB, while Elazığspor and Akhisar both failed to find the net on Oct. 6.
