France’s Hollande vows not to let Turkey in EU

PARIS - Hürriyet
Turkey will not be able to join in the European Union in the next five years, French Socialist presidential frontrunner François Hollande said on France 2 television channel.

Hollande said Turkey will not be an EU member in the next five years if he is elected in April 22 presidential elections. He said despite the longstanding negotiation process with Turkey, it has not “met any significant condition.” Diplomatic sources said Hollande is not against the continuation of negotiations, and his recent statement is not different from his previous stance.
