Forbes names the richest person in Turkey

Hüsnü Özyeğin. AA photoFiba Holding Chief Executive Officer Hüsnü Özyeğin is the richest man in Turkey with a $3 billion fortune, according to Forbes magazine, which published today a list of the 100 richest people in Turkey.
Çukurova Holding CEO Mehmet Emin Karamehmet was ranked second with a $2.9 billion fortune, while Yıldız Holding CEO Murat Ülker was third with $2.8 billion.
Doğuş Holding CEO Ferit Şahenk and Semahat Arsel from Koç Holding tied for fourth with $2.6 billion each, while Koç Holding Honorary President Rahmi Koç was sixth with $2.5 billion.
The top 10 were rounded out by Filiz Şahenk at $2.4 billion, Şarık Tara at $2.2 billion, Suna Kıraç at $2.2 billion and Ali Ağaoğlu at $2.1 billion.
