A fire in the tent city of Ceylanpınar housing Syrian refugees has killed four people, a mother and her three children, while injuring two others.

District governor İbrahim Çenet has confirmed that a Syrian mother and her three children died in a fire in Telhamut tent city. The fire was believed to have broken out when an electrical wire fell, though there has been no official confirmation about the cause of the incident.

Another two people were also injured in the fire, which spread quickly into the tent. Firefighters were able to swiftly control the fire and those injured have been hospitalized.

Meanwhile, two explosions struck the main university in Aleppo, causing an unknown number of casualties.

There were conflicting reports as to what caused the blast at Aleppo University, which was in session.

State TV said two rockets hit the university, killing students and people who had fled fighting elsewhere in recent months and taken refuge on the campus grounds.
