Istanbul’s Akbank Sanat will host films from Latin America every Saturday throughout the month of January. The event, organized in collaboration with Istanbul Cervantes Institute and the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Assistance and Cooperation (AECID), will begin Jan. 7, 2012 with Juan Jose Campanella’s “The Secret in Their Eyes.”

Other films of the event will be “Bad Day to Go Fishing” by Alvaro Brechner on Jan. 14, Josue Mendez’s “Days of Santiago” on Jan. 21 and Fernando Trubea and Javier Mariscal’s animated film “Chico & Rita” on Jan. 28. The films will be shown free of charge at 5 p.m. at Akbank Sanat. k HDN
