Filmekimi tickets on sale

ISTANBUL

This year’s Filmekimi film festival, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) for the 15th time, is set to begin soon. The event will bring cinephiles together in several cities across Turkey with outstanding films. The festival’s Istanbul leg will be held between Oct. 7 and 16, while also visiting other cities throughout the month of October.

Filmekimi screens spectacular films which premiered at prestigious international film festivals and received numerous awards. Its 15th edition will feature the latest works of master directors such as Ken Loach, Asghar Farhadi, Jim Jarmusch, Park Chan-wook, Paul Verhoeven, Todd Solondz and Pedro Almodovar, as well as young auteurs and first-time directors.

Filmekimi will be holding screenings in various Istanbul locations, such as Atlas in Beyoğlu, Rexx in Kadıköy and Cinemaximum in Nişantaşı.

Filmekimi will also be stopping by Ankara, the western province of İzmir and the Marmara province of Bursa, as well as for the first time the Central Anatolian province of Eskişehir. Filmekimi will be held in Ankara from Oct. 7 to 9, İzmir from Oct. 13 to 16 and in Bursa and Eskişehir from Oct. 21 to 23. 

Starting on Oct. 1 at 10:30 a.m., tickets for Filmekimi in Istanbul may be purchased from Biletix’s outlets, website and call center, as well as the box offices at Atlas and Rexx. Vodafone FreeZone users are offered a complimentary ticket for the same screening.
