Fenerbahçe Grundig claimed its third Aroma Men’s Volleyball League title after beating Arkasspor on April 25.
The Istanbul team won the deciding game played at the Anafartalar Sports Hall in Çanakkale in three straight sets (23-25, 20-25, 21-25), closing out the championship series 2-1.
Fenerbahçe won the opening game of the series 3-0 last week, but Arkas fought back to claim the second match.
The Yellow Canaries did not allow for further mistakes on Wednesday, and comfortably went on to claim the trophy.
Fenerbahçe Grundig’s Serbian star Ivan Miljkovic was honored as the Most Valuable Player of the season and the series. “Personal honors do not mean much if the team does not win in the end,” he said to Doğan News Agency. “I think I am the happiest person because the personal honor is capped with the league title.”
