Family in Turkey’s Manisa adopts motherless 15-day-old lamb
MANİSAA family living in the western province of Manisa has adopted a 15-day-old lamb after its mother died, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
The Karaca family is looking after the young lamb like a baby, feeding it with a baby’s bottle and using diapers in their apartment in Manisa’s Şehzadeler district.
Senem Ay Karaca said she was changing the lamb’s diaper seven times and feeding it 2.5 liters of milk per day.
Karaca, who has named the lamb “Benekli (Spotted),” says it has become “like a member of the family.”
“We are caring for it like a baby. It has become like a member of the family and we don’t know what will happen when it grows up,” she said.
