Expat teacher arrested in Istanbul on child porn accusations

An expat teacher working for a private college in Istanbul was arrested today on accusations of owning and distributing child pornography.

The biology teacher, identified by the initials B.L.H., who works at a private school in Istanbul and was detained this morning, allegedly filmed upskirt videos of 19 girl students aged six to 15 years. 

Police reportedly discovered 1,117 photographs and 80 videos in B.L.H.’s two computers at his house in the Üsküdar district on Istanbul’s Asian side.

The FBI recently informed Turkish police about B.L.H.’s internet activity, which led the Turkish police to detain him.

In his initial testimony, B.L.H. accepted the accusation and said he regrets what he did, daily Hürriyet reported.
