European Union ambassadors in Ankara are expected to visit the southern Turkish province of Adana on Dec. 8 to show solidarity over a bomb-laden attack that killed two people and wounded 33 others on Nov. 24.

The ambassadors will lay a wreath outside the governor’s office.

EU Minister Ömer Çelik is expected to host the ambassadors for a dinner in the city, his hometown, and attend the opening ceremony of an EU project.

On Nov. 24, a bomb-laden vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Adana Governor’s Office was detonated.

The explosion in the parking lot occurred at 8:05 a.m. when a militant, who was revealed to be a woman, detonated the bomb-laden car at the start of work. Vehicles in the parking lot burned while locals nearby were injured. The governor’s building was also damaged in the attack.
