Turkish presidential sources have said Russian President Vladimir Putin will make a “thank you call” to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at 12 p.m. on June 29, private broadcaster CNN Türk has reported.

The Kremlin had announced on June 28 that Putin would speak on the phone with Erdoğan at Moscow's initiative on June 29.

Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım also said on June 28 that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Russian President Vladimir Putin would hold a telephone conversation either on June 29 or June 30.

“A phone conversation will be held between Mr. Putin and Mr. President on Wednesday or Thursday regarding the Turkey-Russia relationship,” Yıldırım told state broadcaster TRT late on June 27.
