Galata fashion festival moves to Odakule area

The Galata Fashion Festival has outgrown its small beginnings and this year will be redesigned to include more brands and shops.

The Galata Fashion Festival has outgrown its small beginnings and this year will be redesigned to include more brands and shops as well as a new location. The event gained importance with the opening of fashion stores, workshops and cafes and will take place in the Odakule area of Beyoğlu. 

The stands will be opened in front of the TRT building in Tepebaşı on May 26.

Organized by the Fashion Designers Association and Beyoğlu Municipality, the festival provides a place to shop for the latest summer fashion and enjoy the spring. The festival will host both new and prominent fashion designers, who will display their spring and summer collections.

In addition to the more expensive options, the designers will offer special prices for some of their collection pieces.

The participating designers include Bahar Korçan, Arzu Kaprol, Özlem Süer, Hatice Gökçe, İdil Tarzi, Mehtap Elaidi, Nejla Güvenç, Gül Ağış, Cem Lokmanhekim, Bige Ökten, Eynel Çelebi and Özlem İkiışık.

Other designers will include Gamze Saraçoğlu, Simay Bülbül, Özgür Masur, Deniz Kaprol, Günseli Türkay, Ebru Günay, Zeynep Erdoğan, Müge Ersin, Özlem Kaya, Berna Canok, Rana Canok, Elif Cığızoğlu, Zeynep Balaban, Bihter Aida Pekin and Çiğdem Akın.

The festival will continue through May 30.
