Courthouse cafe flops

ISTANBUL - Anatolia News Agency
A company that runs the teahouses and cafeterias in Istanbul’s largest courthouse in the Şişli district halted services for about four hours Jan. 4, protesting the prohibition of beverage and snack trolleys strolling up and down the corridors.

Adil Demirhan, who had won the tender to operate 30 service points and two cafeterias at the courthouse for more than 10 million Turkish Liras annually, claims to have gone “belly up” following the prohibition of 16 trolleys at the 19-story building.
