A Turkish court has placed a restraining order on the husband of a ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) deputy, daily Hürriyet has reported.
Ağrı deputy Fatma Salman Kotan has applied for a restraining order from her husband amid their continuing divorce case. The court granted Salman's request and banned İdris Kotan from approaching or connecting with his wife for the next six months.
The deputy said rumors that there was domestic violence in their relationship were untrue but refused to elaborate on the reasons for the restraining order.
