Turkish contractors assumed overseas projects worth $215 billion in the past 40 years.

In a report prepared, the Union of Turkish Contractors said that “in the first six months of 2012, Turkish contractors assumed overseas projects worth $8.8 billion.”

According to the report, Turkish contractors assumed more than 6,500 overseas projects in 94 countries since 1972. These projects were worth $215 billion.

Some 45 percent of all overseas projects assumed by Turkish contractors were in the Commonwealth of Independent States and were worth $96 billion, while 17.7 percent were in the Russian Federation and were worth $38 billion.
