Choir to perform for Soma mining victims

The Antakya Civilizations Choir has announced it will perform at a benefit concert for the victims of the Soma mining disaster.

The choir includes members of three celestial religions and six sects that also perform songs and hymns in Turkish, Arabic and Armenian during its concerts

The concert’s revenues will go to the victims of the Soma mining disaster through the Soma Hope Fund, founded by the Turkish Educational Foundation (TEV).

The fund was created to provide scholarships to students whose families lost someone during the disaster or who have been permanently disabled due to the disaster and who are studying at school.

The concert will be performed at the Alaçatı Open Air Theater on Sept. 6.

Ticket prices range from 20-40 Turkish Liras.
