A court in the Seyhan district of the southern Turkish province of Adana arrested a 60-year-old man on Oct. 24, on charges of sexually abusing three male children and using a Taser at his home.

The suspect, identified only by the initials S.B., was arrested in a raid on his home after police received claims that he was abusing a child. In the raid, police found libido pills, a Taser gun, a recording device, and a pistol.
Police also suspect that S.B. abused two other male children after taking them to his home, luring them with cigarettes and using a Taser to pacify them.

The incident comes as the Justice Ministry is preparing a draft law imposing gradual punishments in sexual abuse cases based on the age of the victims.

According to the draft, there will be a distinction made between victims aged under 12 and those aged between 12 and 18, with the new law toughening sentences for offenders targeting children under 12.
