Chamber Academy boosts networking

Based on the responsibility of chambers, as the main business support organizations in the world, to strengthen economic and commercial ties between countries, The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the Islamic Development Bank Group and the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture have initiated a program for chambers of the OIC member countries: TOBB, IDB/ITFC & ICCIA Chamber Academy.

TOBB, IDB/ITFC & ICCIA Chamber Academy is a professional networking and capacity development program, exclusively designed for the senior and middle management personnel of national chambers from OIC member countries. It is an intensive training program that provides participants with a platform to share the best practices of chamber management issues, share knowledge on innovative services provided for the corporate world, exchange benchmarks on the core business of the chambers, find partners for joint projects, discover new project ideas, and brainstorm the possible challenges.

The first Chamber Academy was realized on June 20-24, 2011 in Ankara and hosted 22 Chamber managers from 20 countries: Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Ghana, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Mauritania, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Uganda, Uzbekistan and Turkey.

This year TOBB, IDB/ITFC & ICCIA Chamber Academy 2012 will be take place on Oct. 8-12 in Ankara.
