Trakya University State Conservatory student Batuhan Işık will perform a concert with the Kursk State University Russian Chamber Orchestra in Russia after the orchestra saw his performance with the Doğuş Children’s Symphony Orchestra and requested his music records from the conservatory. The orchestra invited him for the concert after listening to his records.

He said it would be the first foreign performance of his music career. The young cellist said he began playing cello seven years ago and was working seven hours a day to become a good musician. “My family and my teachers give me much support. Getting this invitation at the beginning of my career has boosted my motivation.”

Işık will take the stage with the chamber orchestra in the cities of Kursk and Novy Oskol April 23 and 25.
