Campaign for tourism launched

The Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Turkish Hoteliers Federation (TUROFED) have started a promotion campaign in key cities in Germany, Russia and Ukraine.

In a written statement TUROFED said cooperation between the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism and TUROFED would continue to promote Turkish tourism.

Ads for Turkey have appeared on the cover of popular German magazines such as Der Spiegel, Bunte, Gala, Brigitte and Stern. About 1 million magazines have advertisements for Turkey on their covers.

Stands on Turkey have been opened in Moscow and St. Petersburg in Russia and Kiev in Ukraine and will operate between June 15 and July 25. About 150,000 magazines giving information on tourism in Turkey and promotional materials for tour operators and hotels are being distributed at the stands. Also, a promotional magazine for Turkey will be distributed free of charge with the Moscow News.
