‘Butterfly’s Dream’ declared best at Italian film festival

‘Butterfly’s Dream’ declared best at Italian film festival Yılmaz Erdoğan’s film “Kelebeğin Rüyası” (The Butterfly’s Dream) has added one more trophy to its international success, winning the Best Film award at the Terra di Siena International Film Festival in Italy on Oct. 5.

The festival in Siena is considered one of Europe’s major film festivals.

Starring Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, Mert Fırat and Belçim Bilgin Erdoğan, The Butterfly’s Dream is set in Turkey in the 1940s and revolves around two young poets vying for the affections of the same girl.

The film also won the “Best Balkan Film” award at the 7th Durres International Film Festival in Albania, the Best Film Music award at the 15th Milan International Film Festival in Italy, the Public Choice Award in the 13th World Soundtrack Academy in Belgium, and the best film music award on Sept. 28 at the Moondance International Film Festival in Colorado.
