Buena Vista to say farewell at İzmir festival

The 29th International İzmir Festival, organized by the İzmir Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSEV), will host the farewell concert of Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club.

The ambassadors of Cuban music, who have so far performed countless concerts around the world, will take the stage in the poplar holiday town of Çeşme in the Aegean province of İzmir on June 29 as part of their “Adios Tour” (Farewell Tour). Omara Portuondo, Eliades Ochoa, Guajiro Mirabal, Barbarito Torres and Jesus “Aguaje” Ramos will perform in the concert.

The festival will also feature a concert given by the Soul Rebels Brass Band on July 1. The event will be closed with the Geneva Grand Theater Ballet on July 2.
