Beşiktaş Milangaz hopes to win its first Beko Turkish Basketball League (TBL) in 37 years when it meets Anadolu Efes tonight.

The Black Eagles are 3-1 ahead in their best-of-seven TBL final series against Anadolu Efes and one win away from the national title. Beşiktaş Milangaz’s only league title came in the 1974-1975 campaign.

The Black Eagles are already having the best season in the team’s history, having won the Turkish Cup and Euro challenge, the third-tier European club competition.

Beşiktaş Milangaz boasts important players such as Puerto Rican forward Carlos Arroyo, English forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu and U.S. forward David Hawkins, but the mastermind behind the club’s success is coach Ergin Ataman, who was at the Efes helm as well when the team last won the league in 2009.
Tonight’s game at the Sinan Erdem Dome starts at 8 p.m.
