Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will pay an official visit to Turkey on April 16 upon the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the presidency said on April 15.

All aspects of bilateral relations and the opportunities to expand cooperation in various areas will be discussed during the talks on April 16 at the presidential complex, according to an official statement.

The leaders will also exchange views on recent regional and international developments, the statement added.

The inking of various agreements has been planned to expand bilateral relations.

There will also be a Belarus-Turkey business forum as part of the official visit.

Last year, the trade volume between the two countries reached $984 million.

At the end of 2018, Turkish investments in the Belarusian economy totaled $43.1 million.
