Baklava maker dies at 86

Hacı Mustafa Güllü (86), the founder of Güllüoğlu Baklavaları, passed away from arterial embolism Feb. 21 at a hospital.

Güllü is survived by five sons and a daughter. Four of the sons continue to work for the baklava business they inherited from their father. Güllüoğlu is one of Turkey’s prominent brands of baklava, which is a traditional sweet pastry.
