Babayeva to represent Azerbaijan

Singer Sebine Babayeva will represent Azerbaijan at the Eurovision 2012 Song Contest. Five contestants participated in the finals, organized by Azerbaijani national television channel İçtimai at the Haydar Aliyev Palace on Feb. 12 with 3,000 people attending.

Can Bonomo, who will represent Turkey in this year’s Eurovision, and Malta’s Kurt Calleja performed together at the event.
Finalists Babayeva, Orhan
Kerimli, Elton İbrahim, Fegan Seferov and Arzu İsmailova competed at the finals ceremony before a jury comprised of famous Azerbaijani artists.
As a result of the competition, Babayeva won the right to represent the country in the Eurovision 2012 Song Contest.
